What Is Restylane® Lyft?
Restylane® Lyft is the first and only hyaluronic acid filler approved by the FDA for treating the face and the hands. This safe, effective, and dissolvable hand and cheek filler temporarily reverses some of the most common signs of aging, including volume loss, fine lines, and wrinkles. Over time, our natural fat deposits begin to deteriorate. This results in sagging skin, highly prominent wrinkles, and overall volume reduction. Restylane® Lyft cheeks and hands filler is an injectable hyaluronic acid gel used to correct the loss of volume and the development of wrinkles in the face and the hands.
This non-surgical, non-invasive treatment is specifically formulated to add fullness to the cheeks, midface area, and the backs of the hands to help revitalize your aesthetic. Gainesville Dermatology Aesthetic Center offers the complete line of Restylane® products, including Restylane® Kysse, Restylane® Contour, Restylane® Refyne™, Restylane® Defyne™, Restylane® Silk, each of which is designed to rejuvenate specific features for an encompassing approach that meets a wealth of different needs. How Does Restylane® Lyft Work?
Restylane® for cheeks and hands is a clear injectable gel composed of hyaluronic acid, naturally occurring in the human body. Restylane® Lyft is injected into the skin to plump up the skin and smooth away wrinkles and folds, such as the lines that start at the corners of the mouth. It is injected using an ultrafine needle or a small, blunt-tipped cannula to increase volume in the cheeks. This cosmetic filler may also be used to address deficient volume in the backs of the hands.
The formula consists of hyaluronic acid, lidocaine, and purified water. The combination of hyaluronic acid and water creates a plumping mixture, which adds volume from beneath the skin upon each injection. This helps temporarily soften and reduce the appearance of wrinkles in target areas. The addition of lidocaine in Restylane® Lyft minimizes any pain during the procedure. The addition of lidocaine can also help reduce the duration of the procedure, as no separate pain reliever or topical anesthetic is required before each treatment.
How Long Does Restylane® Last?
Restylane® Lyft treatments are quick, convenient, and nearly painless. Depending on how many injections you will receive during the procedure, you may only be in our office for 15 minutes at a time or so. Additional injections may take up to 1 hour. When Restylane® Lyft with Lidocaine is used for the treatment of wrinkles and folds in the mid-face regions, such as to correct the appearance of deep-set lines spanning from the nose to the corners of the mouth and the backs of the hands, the results may last for 6 months following initial injections.
When this filler is used to increase the degree of fullness in the cheeks, the results generally last anywhere from 2 months to 1 year, after which the filler gradually disappears from the body. Schedule an appointment to view additional Restylane® Lyft before and after photos.
How Many Restylane® Treatments Will I Need?
Among the benefits of dermal fillers is their ability to be customized for tailored results that best address the unique needs of each patient, as well as their lasting power. Restylane® Lyft injectable gel helps diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in the mid-face and the backs of the hands, with visible results that last and can be maintained through supplemental injections.
By their nature, dermal fillers offer temporary results. Yet, patients who receive injections with cosmetic fillers may expect enduring qualities, such as improved skin elasticity, facial rejuvenation, and a naturally enhanced appearance with Restylane® before and after results that last. To schedule a consultation for your initial treatment with Restylane® Lyft or to schedule touch-up injections, contact Gainesville Dermatology Aesthetic Center.
Who Is A Candidate For Restylane® Lyft?
The vast majority of patients in good general health, over 21, and seek to improve the appearance of facial wrinkles and folds, volume loss in their cheeks, or improve the projection of their skin on the backs of their hands are considered good candidates for treatment with Restylane® dermal fillers. Patients who are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a history of severe allergies to lidocaine or the ingredients in the Restylane® Lyft formula, those with bleeding disorders, or who take medications that affect bleeding and blood clotting may not be eligible to receive Restylane® injections.
The best way to determine your candidacy for treatment with Restylane® Lyft is to discuss these factors and your skin care goals with one of our Gainesville skin care specialists. Restylane® products are approved by the FDA and are considered safe to use in specific treatment areas. Contact Gainesville Dermatology Aesthetic Center to determine the best dermal filler to meet your skin goals.
